2023: PDP BoT Chairman, Jibrin, Hails Atiku’s Victory

…Urges him to pick credible running mate

The Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Walid Jibrin, has described the emerges  of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar  as the presidential flag bearer  of  party as a big success to PDP and the country as at large.

The BoT Chairman who made the assertion in a press release he personally signed and made available to newsmen said, Atiku’s success at the recently concluded PDP primaries has opened a good way for all Nigerians come 2023.

“We must remember that Atiku was earlier elected at PDP primaries at Port Harcourt in 2019, he put up a very good fight against the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, but all of know how the election went.

“We must remember the good performance of Atiku as vice-president to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, so our party must be fully congratulated for playing a good role and of course all our delegates across the 36 states and the FCT”, he stated.

The BoT Chairman also congratulated Senator David Mark, the chairman of the election committee and his members for organising one of the best national election convention after that of 2019 which was chaired by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.

He, however, advised that the teaming supporters of PDP to work as one family and build a strong and united party with good electoral chances that would pave ways for the party to clinch power at all levels of government to serve Nigerians better and to restore it lost glories.

“My advice as the PDP BoT Chairman is that the conscious of the party must come together as one entity speaking with one voice to return our party to its glory days irrespective of our differences”, he stressed.

He assured that the BoT on its part will offer all the necessary support and assistance to ensure the victory of the party at all levels.

The BoT chairman therefore advised the PDP presidential flag bearer to pick an acceptable and realiable running mate that will aid his victory in the forthcoming election.
