Obiano’s wife picks APGA forms for Senate

365Daily– The wife of the immediate past  Governor of Anambra State, Ebelechukwu Obiano, has collected nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for a seat in the Senate in 2023.

She is vying for Anambra North Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Mrs Obiano picked the forms at the party secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

The former Chief of Staff during her husband’s tenure, Mr Primus Odili, has also declared to run for the same seat under APGA.

The former first lady was accompanied to the APGA Secretariat by party members, stakeholders, transition committee chairmen and numerous supporters, a statement by the Senior Special Adviser to ex-Governor Willie Obiano, Mr Uloka Chuks, said on Wednesday, April 6, 2022

Obiano said she was motivated by the need to improve the plight of her people, especially women and children from the rural communities of her constituency when she declared her intention earlier in March, 2022 in Anambra.

Speakng at the APGA National Secretariat, she said she would continue her advocacy for a better life for women and children of Anambra North and Nigeria at the Senate Chambers by pushing Bills and debate motions that will be in their interest.

The constituency is presently represented by Princess Stella Oduah of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
