Clash of titans imminent as Anambra 1st Lady moves to displace Sen. Oduah in Senate

365Daily – A titanic battle is set to go down in Anambra State as the wife of the outgoing Governor, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano, is gearing up to contest against the incumbent Sen. Stella Oduah for Anambra North Senatorial seat.

Stella Oduah, a former Minister of Aviation, is currently serving her 2nd term in the Senate.

She was also the coordinator of Neighbour to Neighbour initiative that played a key role in the emergence of Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011.

Events to kick-start her race to the Senate will begin on Saturday, February 19, 2022, with a Prayer Session organised by a Coalition of Women Associations for Good Governance in Anambra North Senatorial District.

On the invitation card to the event, the General Convener of the Prayer Session, Hon. Mrs Amarachi Joseph Obinwe, said the Anambra Governor’s wife had “touched lives, we need her to do more at the 10th National Assembly.”

The Invitation stated: “A Prayer Session of A Clarion Call by Coalition of Women Associations for Good Governance in Anambra North Senatorial District.

“Calling On Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme) to Come out for Senate to represent the Good people of Anambra North  Senatorial Zone in 2023, at the National Assembly.

“Event Chairperson: Chief Lady Mrs. Ogechukwu Okafor (Odibeze Oyi).”

It added that the event is supported by Omambala Women Traders; Golibe Difu Philip Ladies; NZUKO NDIGBO Anambra North Women Wing; Anambra Progressive Women Initiatives (APWI) and Anambra Women of Peace and Growth Intiative.
