Sen. Kalu congratulates Soludo on election victory

 

….urges him to run an inclusive government

365Daily – Ex-Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Sen. Orji Kalu, has felicitated the Governor-elect of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for winning the Anambra Governorship election which held on November 6, 2021.

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), won the election with 112,229 votes, while Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 53,807 votes.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Sen. Andy Uba, scored 43,285 votes to come 3rd, while Sen. Ifeanyi Uba of Young Peoples Party (YPP) stood at 4th place with 21,261 votes.

In a statement issued on Thursday, November 11, 2021, in Abuja, Sen. Kalu saluted the candidates of the other political parties for their political maturity demonstrated before, during and after the poll.

He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the election.

While advising Soludo to run an inclusive government, he urged the people of Anambra to support the political class to take the state to enviable heights.

He said: “Following the outcome of the Nov. 6 governorship election in Anambra, I felicitate the gGovernor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

“All the candidates were patriotic and selfless before, during and after the election.

“The governor-elect should embrace participatory approach in governance.

“I urge sons and daughters of Anambra to embrace peace and unity despite political differences.’’
