365Daily – Tragedy struck at Ogwashi Uku, headquarters of Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, as a pregnant woman in labour reportedly fell from a hospital bed and died.
The sad incident happened at the General Hospital on Monday, September 27, 2021, as a result of the seeming negligence of the nurses on duty who allegedly fell asleep and left her unattended to.
The deceased was said to be pregnant for the first time and was accompanied to the hospital by another lady when the labour started late on that fateful night.
It was said that the lady went back home to bring some of the required items for the delivery and left the pregnant woman in the care of the nurses.
She was said to have been shocked when on her return, the woman was dead on the floor after she apparently fell down from the bed unattended to while the nurses were fast asleep.
