365Daily – The Department of State Security (DSS) has been ordered to pay the sum of N20 billion to Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho) for the July 1, 2021, unlawful invadion of his Soka, Ibadan house.
The order was given by Justice Ladiran Akintola of Oyo State High Court for what he described as “arbitrary aggression and prejudices”.
Justice Akintola awarded the sum as exemplary and aggravated damages against the DSS after consideration of a suit filed by Igboho, in which he sought N500 billion damages.
The court also declared the invasion illegal.
