JUST IN: Police tear-gas June 12 protesters in Abuja

By Deborah Hassan

365Daily – A group of peaceful June 12 protesters who converged at Gudu, have been dispersed by men of the Federal Capital Territory who fired tear gas at them on Saturday morning.

The protesters, who were mainly youths, were peacefully expressing their grievances against the state of the nation, chanting “Buhari must go”, “Say no to injustice”, and other slangs before the invasion by the Police.

They all took to their heels for safety when the teargas was released by the policemen.

The Police had warned on Friday, June 11, that it will not allow any protest to hold on June 12 across the states in the country, warning that everyone should stay in their homes.
