OPINION: “There came the messengers”

Job. 1:14-19

Every day that breaks has vibes that often manifest in either – good or bad news, occurrence, experience, trials, trouble etc.

While some wake up to rejoice, others wake up to mourn. As much as life is good, trouble, pain, sorrow and anguish also present themselves and obstruct our way without notice from time to time. No wonder, because of the complexity of life, Job said in his book that, “Man is born and full of trouble” (Job.14:1).

Taking this further, we read an interesting account of unexpected troubled season for a family in their community. Things were going smoothly until calamity descended upon the community in the house where Job’s children were being hosted to a feast.

Suddenly, there was a day…

It was a day of sorrow and trouble of heart. A day no one will ever wish, talk less of pray for. What a twist of fate (Job. 1:13).

Trouble came big time.
The calamity was massive. Cry of sorrow were heard across the land. The problem was torrential and the impact was much!

But some people escaped.
Yes, they escaped!

God saved a certain people by making a way of escape. They were messengers; four of them told their stories and how they escaped the carnage in that environment.

See Job. 1:15,16,17,18,19.
One by one these messengers came in; narrated what happened and ended this way,

“…and I only escaped alone to tell thee”

It was a shattering experience for them, but they escaped.

They shared their experiences.
They told their stories.
They gave their testimonies.
God’s mercy preserved them!

This new month of June, the Lord will shield you and your family from affliction and any trap of the enemy to wreck you, your ministry, career, marriage and business.

Like David said, you will also say,
“Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are escaped” – Psalm 124:7

•You will escape trouble
•You will escape oppression
•You will escape recession
•You will escape corona virus
•You will escape insecurity
• You will escape hunger
• You will escape opposition
• You will escape death
• You will escape sickness
• You will escape sorrow
• You will escape ridicule
• You will escape evil reports

No matter the torrent of the wind blowing now against you; around you; or in the world that is making you restless, confused, fearful and troubled; God in His infinite mercy will make a way of escape, and rescue you (Psalm 44:26, 46:1-3; 1 Cor. 10:13).

This month of June shall be a month of jubilation for you; of peace, in satisfaction and rest from troubles.

You will hear good news. You will overcome. You will tell your stories. Mercy will preserve you. Amen!
