365Daily – The Federal Government has announced that the bid for value-added concession under the Highway Development and Management Initiative (HDMI) on 12 highways will open on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
The roads up for privatisation are Benin-Asaba; Abuja-Lokoja; Kaduna-Kano; Onitsha-Owerri-Aba; Saagamu-Benin and Abuja-Keffi-Akwanga.Others are Lokoja-Benin; Enugu-Port Harcourt; Ilorin-Jebba; Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta; Lagos-Badagry and Kano-Shuari-Portiskum-Damaturu.The Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Boade Akinola, said in a statement that the exercise would be witnessed by the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) and other relevant partners and stakeholders.
