Clergy calls for Buhari’s resignation over insecurity

365Daily – A clergyman, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obinna, popularly known as ( Ebube muonso), the Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministries Uke, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to honourably resign from office.

He noted that the current insecurity as being witnessed in the country has shown that he is incapable of providing security or improving citizens’ welfare.

He spoke during the unveiling of a synthetic Pitch built by the Authorities of All Hallows Seminary Onitsha (his Alma Mata) held last Sunday.

While regretting that Nigeria as a nation is now in shambles with almost every sector ”collapsed, increase in killings, kidnappings, workers’ strikes and lopsided federal appointments” being the order of the day.

According to him, with all these ugly developments, it appears as if Nigeria has no leadership. He, therefore, advised President Buhari to resign for a new person who is capable to handle the situation to take over.

He said: “Nigeria is now in shambles, everyday killings, kidnappings, banditry, workers strikes, lopsided appointments and others have become the norm in Nigeria.

“The situation, instead of improving, is worsening on daily basis. Right now, there is hardship all over the country, every day you hear the cry of the common people crying helplessly because of hardship and yet no action will be taken on this. You see injustice increasing everyday. My advice for President Buhari is that he should resign honourably as a patriotic leader for somebody who can address these problem to take over.”
