Accolades as ACG Braimah retires from Immigration Service

The Controller- General, Nigerian Immigration Service (CGIS), Mohammed Babandede, associates, NIS retirees, and friends on Friday, celebrated the outgoing Assistant Controller-General (ACG) of NIS, Zone “A” Lagos, Mrs Doris Braimah, as she bowed out of  service.

They gave the accolades at the send forth organised by the Zone in Lagos for Braimah.

The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that Braimah who joined NIS in 1986, retired after 35 years of active and diligent service in  the NIS.

The Controller, Passport Command in  Lagos State, Mr Sunday Fagbamigbe,  who spoke on behalf of CGIS, described Braimah as a God-fearing leader.

According to him, Braimah is a compassionate leader who inculcated team spirit into the  personnel of NIS that worked with her.

“ Surely NIS will never forget  the beautiful Braimah for her impacts in the service and its  personnel,” Fagbamigbe said.

Also, a  retired Deputy Control -General (DCG)  of NIS, Mr Oredipo Ayokunle,  recalled that officers were always eager to go on operations with Braimah.

“ Even at the times we needed to bundle the hardest criminal into patrol vehicle, the criminal would succumb once Braimah is sighted ,” he said.

The retired DCG urged other officials of NIS  to always emulate the selfless service Braimah rendered to the  NIS.

The Director, People’s Service, KPMG Consulting Nigeria, Mrs Adenike Yomi – Faseun, described Braimah as a leader, willing to help always.

“ Braimah is an agent of change, who believes in due process. A very kind fellow,” Yomi – Faseun said.

Braimah, in her response,  thanked CGIS Babandede for the opportunity given to her   to serve Nigerians through the service .

She urged  other serving officers to uphold  the  tenets and ethics of the  NIS in the discharge of their responsibilities.

She also pleaded with the personnel to support  the CGIS always ( NAN)
