NAF plane crash, an unfortunate national disaster – Defence Minister

 

The Minister of Defence, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (Rtd), has described the death of  Airforce officers and airmen in Nigerian Air Force King 350 plane crash as painful and tragic.

Magashi lamented that the deaths which occurred in the line of duty  was an unfortunate depletion of the national human capital asset.

In a statement issued by by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mohammad Abdulkadri, on Monday, February 22, in Abuja, the Minister said the deceased would be always remembered for their contribution to the military’s efforts to end the nation’s insecurity.

While commiserating with President Muhammadu Buhari, the nation and Nigerian Air Force in particular, as well as the families of those who paid the supreme price while serving the nation, he prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and the fortitude to bear the national calamity.

365Daily had earlier reported that all seven air force personnel on board died in the crash which occurred in Abuja on Sunday.
