Lawan mourns Hon. Ossy Prestige

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has expressed shock and sadness over the death of Hon. Ossy Chinedu Prestige.
 
Hon. Prestige represented Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency in the House of Representative.
 
He was 56.
 
In a press statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi, on February 9, Lawan said the departed lawmaker will be sorely missed by all his colleagues in the National Assembly.
 
He said Hon. Prestige was a good representative of his constituency in the National Assembly and touched many lives through his business engagements and charity outreach such as the Prestige Ossy Foundation and The Favoured Initiatives.
 
Lawan commiserated with his family, friends and political associates over his irreparable loss, and prayed that God would grant the Government and people of Abia State the fortitude to bear the loss.
 
Hon. Prestige, died of an unknown illness on Monday. The late lawmaker was reportedly sick and had been receiving medical attention for some months in Nigeria and abroad.

In line with its tradition, the House of Representatives is expected to adjourn plenary of Hon. Prestige, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
