Buhari extends IGP’s tenure by 3-months

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu for three months.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, on Thursday, February 4, 2021, while briefing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He said the extension was to enable the President to properly select a successor to the post after Adamu’s exit.
