Mafa, the hometown of Borno state Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum is under attack by suspected members of the Boko Haram fighters who invaded the town with about 10 hilux vans and shooting sporadically.
According to report, suspected members of the Boko Haram insurgents stormed Mafa and are in heavy exchange of gunfire with security forces.
Some residents of the town who spoke with newsmen said, “At least 10 Hilux vehicles with heavy guns stormed Mafa at the late hours of Friday; most of the residents have fled into bushes while others remain indoors”.
