The body of a young man, Salisu Bashir, 24, was found yesterday night along the Kaduna/Abuja highway with serious bullet wounds. He was killed by suspected bandits alongside some other farmers.
This was disclosed by former senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Dr. Shehu Sani via his official Twitter handle @ShehuSani.
He twitted: “Tragedy; Salisu Bashir 24 was killed along with other farmers along Kaduna Abuja road yesterday by bandits. His corpse with bullets wounds and that of others were discovered this evening. He will be buried tomorrow. May his soul rest in peace, Amin.”
The Abuja/Kaduna highway has become notorious with the activities of kidnappers, armed robbery and banditry. All efforts by the Nigerian Police Force have not produced the needed result.
