Nigerian Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has announced that his first single of 2026, titled “TEA,” will be released on Friday.
The singer made the announcement on Wednesday through his verified X account, where he shared a 26-second teaser of the song with the simple caption, “TEA Friday.”
The preview shows Rema cruising on a motorcycle at dusk while a snippet of the upcoming track plays in the background. The song is produced by renowned American producer Mustard, whose collaboration with the Nigerian hitmaker has already generated excitement among music lovers.
Within hours of the teaser’s release, fans flooded social media with reactions, expressing eagerness to hear the full track and praising the pairing of Rema and the Grammy-winning producer.
Since bursting onto the music scene in 2019 after signing with Jonzing World, Rema has grown into one of Africa’s most successful contemporary artists. His chart-topping global smash “Calm Down” propelled him to international fame and helped expand the global reach of Afrobeats.
The Benin City-born performer released his debut album, “Rave & Roses,” in 2022, followed by his critically acclaimed sophomore album, “HEIS,” in 2024, both of which showcased his versatility and distinctive sound.
The release of “TEA” follows Rema’s contribution to the 2026 FIFA World Cup with “Goals,” the tournament’s official soundtrack. The new single is expected to further strengthen his momentum as he continues to expand his influence on the global music stage.
With fans counting down to Friday, expectations are high that “TEA” could become another standout addition to Rema’s growing catalogue of international hits.
