The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has appealed to members and supporters to remain calm and steadfast in the face of current challenges confronting the party.
In a statement issued in Makurdi by Chief Ezekiel Adaji, Chairman of PDP Benue State, acknowledged concerns over recent disagreements and misunderstandings that have attracted public attention, but emphasized that these are internal matters that would be resolved amicably.
“Our party has a longstanding tradition of collective dialogue, mutual respect, and genuine reconciliation, and we remain committed to these principles,” Adaji said, urging all members to refrain from negative commentary or actions that could escalate tensions or widen existing cracks.
Adaji in the statement assured party members that concrete reconciliatory moves are already underway and expressed confidence that every concern will be addressed comprehensively and amicably in due time.
He also reiterated that the PDP remains the foremost and largest opposition party in Nigeria, and the only truly formidable alternative to the prevailing misgovernance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The chairman called on all members to stay united, focused, and committed to the values and vision of the party, stressing that the shared goal is the growth, stability, and success of the PDP.
“We acknowledge the concerns that have arisen in recent times, particularly the disagreements and misunderstandings that have attracted public attention,” Adaji revealed, expressing optimism that all the issues at hand are internal matters and a family affair, which must be resolved.
