Benue State governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, has approved immediate changes at the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
A statement released Tuesday in Makurdi by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, announced the redeployment of several key personnel and the appointment of new officials to take over at the Bureau.
According to the statement, Denen Aondoakaa, Adviser in Charge of the Bureau, has been redeployed to the office of the Chief of Staff, Government House.
Other personnel redeployed include Barr. Ajinge Saar, Derby Amine, Mrs. Galu, Shagba Ahura, and Rhoda Aboh, who will return to their previous positions at the Ministry of Justice, Accountant General’s office, and Head of Service, respectively.
The following officials have been appointed to take over at the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs: Terna Ayu as Permanent Secretary; Terkura B. Dzwungwe- Director of Accounts and Finance; Sule J Liambee-Director of Administration and Supply; Esther Osugh- Cashier and Uza Christopher Uza-Director of Local Government Services.
Relatedly, Mr. Noel Wende has been redeployed from BIPC to the Head of Service.
The statement further revealed that the changes are effective immediately, while those taking over at the Bureau are directed to report to their new offices by 8am on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
