Police raids cattle rustling syndicate in Kebbi, recover cows

Kebbi State Police Command on Tuesday said that it raided cattle rustling syndicate in Suru local government area of the state and arrested one Bashiru Abdulllahi from Zuru town.
According to Kebbi Police imagemaker, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, the rustling syndicate was discovered during routine patrol by the divisional officer of Suru local government acting on credible information.
He noted that during the raid the suspect confessed to have conspired with one Garba Chairman Datti to steal the cows belonging to Sarkin Fulani.
However, two cows were recovered and Toyota Corolla used for the crime also in police custody to aid investigations.
The state’s police commissioner Bello M Sani urged members of the public to always cooperate with the police even as he commended the gallantry of his officers.
“We will sustain onslaught against bandits and cattle rustlers till they flee the state”, the CP added.
