Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday expressed sadness on the passing of a former acting governor of Bayelsa, Nestor Binabo, who died in an Abuja hospital.
Jonathan in his condolence message made available to newsmen by his Media Adviser, Ikechukwu Eze, in Abuja, condoled the family and government of Bayelsa.
He described the late politician as an experienced lawmaker and patriot who made considerable contributions to the development of the state.
He said that the deceased would be sorely missed on account of his dedicated service to humanity.
“I condole with the Binabo family and the Government and people of Bayelsa State on the death of Nestor Binabo, former acting Governor of the State.
“Binabo was an accomplished politician, an experienced lawmaker and a service oriented leader who made significant impact during his active time in politics,” he said.
Jonathan also described Binabo as a patriotic Bayelsan who contributed immensely to the growth and development of the state.
“He will be sorely missed by people from all walks of life, especially for his patriotism and service to humanity,” Jonathan said.
He prayed that God comfort the family of the deceased and grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. (NAN)
