365Daily – Per Second News has announced the appointment of three new editors as part of efforts to strengthen its editorial team, expand multimedia content and improve coverage across key areas.
The appointments include Joycelyn Ellakeche Adah as Digital Content Editor and Producer, Dr. Emily Howswirthz as Health and Wellness Editor, and Oluwasegun Adebayo as Entertainment and Lifestyle Editor.
Adah, a broadcast journalist and producer with more than 20 years of experience in television, radio and digital media, has worked with media organisations including African Independent Television, Aso Television and Radio, Advocate Broadcasting Network and BenTV Europe.
She also produced and presented NNPCL Energy Today, an energy focused programme aired on Channels Television. With expertise in energy and environmental journalism, Adah currently serves as Producer of The Exchange, Per Second News flagship podcast, where she oversees content development, editorial planning and production.
The organisation said her experience in public affairs, storytelling and multimedia production would contribute to its digital and multimedia expansion.
Dr. Howswirthz, who joins as Health and Wellness Editor, is a physician, humanitarian advocate and healthcare professional with more than two decades of experience in the medical field.
She has worked in leading hospitals in Hamburg, Germany, with experience spanning patient care, clinical leadership and healthcare system development. She has also participated in health outreach programmes, wellness initiatives and humanitarian interventions, particularly in East Africa.
In her new position, she will oversee health and wellness reporting, with a focus on public health, preventive care, medical developments and healthy living.
Meanwhile, Adebayo’s appointment as Entertainment and Lifestyle Editor took effect on August 8. Based in Lagos, he will oversee entertainment, lifestyle, celebrity and premium social coverage for the publication.
He brings nearly 16 years of journalism and media experience to the role. Prior to joining Per Second News, Adebayo was an Assistant Editor at Nigerian Tribune, where he developed extensive experience in editorial leadership and entertainment reporting.
