Benue Police commissioner, Emmanuel Adesina, has disclosed that it has ordered deployment of officers across the state to ensure maximum security of lives and property during Easter.
CP Adesina who gave the order in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of Benue command SP Sewuese Anene, Friday, in Makurdi, said the commissioner has further directed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police Officers, DPOs to deploy personnel and other resources to strategic places such as churches, parks, event centres, entry and exit routes in the state, for a hitch-free celebration.
The statement enjoined officers deployed on highways to be vigilant and as well remain courteous while carrying out duties.
CP Adesina while felicitating with the good people of Benue State, particularly Christians on the occasion of Easter celebration, enjoined them to pray for God’s protection and for peace to reign in Benue State.
