Tinubu sends 2023 supplementary budget, MEET/FSP for consideration

The supplementary budget is aimed at addressing labour wage adjustments, security and other matters.

365Daily – The House of Representatives has acknowledged receipt of a letter from President Bola Tinubu, seeking approval of lawmakers for a supplementary appropriation bill of N2,176,791,286,033.

House speaker, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, while reading the letter during plenary on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, said the supplementary budget is aimed at addressing labour wage adjustments, security and other matters.

In addition to the supplementary budget, the president also sent the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper to the House of Representatives for consideration.

The 2023 supplementary budget of N2.1 trillion was considered and approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at its meeting on Monday.
