365Daily – A former member of the House of Representatives from Niger State, Ibrahim Ebbo, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect.

Ebbo, who represented Agaie Lapai Federal Constituency, said his decision to decamp was based on personal conviction.

His notice of resignation was conveyed in a letter dated October 19, 2022, addressed to the Chairman of APC in  Ebbo/Gbacinku Ward, Niger State and copied to the State Chairman, as well as the APC Chairman for Lapai Local Government.

The letter stated: “My decision is primarily as a result of my personal conviction, arising from my general observations around the party at all levels.

“It is expedient to show my unquantifiable appreciation to the leadership of the party at the ward through to the national level for the opportunities availed me while I served as a member of the State Caucus Committee and State Executive Committee respectively.

“Indeed, it is a difficult decision  at this crucial period but it is the best option for me at the moment.”
