365Daily – Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, has lost his Senatorial Primary election.
Ayade scored 52 votes to place in the third position, while Martin Ojie polled 61 votes to come second.
The winner of the primary election, Adams Cecilia, garnerd 140 votes and was subsequently declared winner.
With this development, Ayade joins the list of incumbent Governors to lose a primary election in Nigeria.
