365Daily – Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has taken over the lead of the defence team of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Ozekhome announced his appearance as the lead lawyer for the defence at the resumption of proceedings on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Federal High Court in Abuja where the trial is taking place under Justice Binta Nyako.
Kanu, who is facing amended charges of terrorism, was brought into the court by security operatives around 9:50 am, after which he exchanged pleasantries with some of his family members who were in the court room and his lawyers.
On the other hand, Labaran Magaji is leading the Federal Government’s prosecution team.
