365Daily – Kaduna Government has debunked claims that telecommunication services in the state will be shut down to check activities of bandits in the state.

It called on residents to ignore the rumours which it described as fake news which had KDSG logo implanted on it to give it credence.

This was disclosed  by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, in Kaduna.

Adekeye said such a plan had not been decided or announced by the state

“The Kaduna State Government did not reach out to any federal agency to request a telecoms shutdown and it has not in any way ordered or effected a communications shutdown,’

“The Kaduna State Government is transparent about security matters. If a telecoms shutdown is deemed necessary that decision will be formally announced in a properly signed statement posted on official information handles,” it said.
