365Daily – Two offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ebonyi State have been set ablaze by unidentified persons, 365Daily has learnt.

It was gathered that the offices are located in Ebonyi and Ezza North Local Government Areas of the state.

No casualties were recorded but there were extensive damages to the building and facilities.

This is coming a few hours before a meeting scheduled for today between INEC and heads of security agencies over the attacks on the Commission’s offices.

The Southeast has recently become another focal point of insecurity in the country because of the activities of the Eastern Security Network (ESN)/Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) insurgency in the area, referred to as unknown gunmen.

INEC offices, like other security formations in the region, have come under increasing attacks and destruction.
