Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, on Thursday, 6th May 2021, paid a visit to Mrs. Christiana Albert Okoye of Uru-Ogidi village Ogidi, whose video of her brutalization and physical assault by a young man in Ogidi, went viral on social media.
According to the Facebook video, a young man was seen mercilessly beating up a lady, leaving her with severe injuries and fractures.
The Commissioner was saddened by the incident after her attention was called to it and she decided to visit and commiserate with the elderly woman who is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Ogidi, Idemili North LGA, Anambra State.
After meeting with Mrs. Okoye, Lady Mezue, in the company of Ogidi women leaders, thanked God for saving the victim from the hands of the young man, whom she described as a beast. She also made cash donation to the lady and equally presented food items and clothing materials to her.
