“And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
“And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
“And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. And when even was come, he went out of the city. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:12-23 KJV
Beloved of God, Jesus did not say, “Whosoever shall speak to God about this mountain.” He said we should speak directly to the mountain the desired end result.
Looking at the situation from a worldly point of view, that sounds foolish. The scripture says, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”
1 Corinthians 1:27 KJV
It is always going to sound foolish to the world when a Christian talks as if what God has promised is reality, especially when those promises seem to contradict the natural evidence around us. Yet if you want to keep the enemy defeated, this is the kind of talking you would be doing.
The scripture affirmed that God Himself talks that way. “…..Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed.”
Romans 4:17 The Amplified Bible
God does not wait for circumstances to line up before He speaks. He causes them to line up, because He speaks. You can do the same thing if you will make your words agree with His and speak them out of your mouth by faith.
The enemy (devil) can sow seed of doubt, unbelief, and fear such as, “what if nothing happens right away?”
“What if the circumstances does not immediately change?”
The truth is that when Jesus spoke to the fig tree in Mark 11:14, He did not go back and check to see if anything had happened to it. No, once He had spoken it, He considered it done.
You and I can follow the example of the Lord Jesus by speaking through faith against the mountain standing on our way. Shalom.
Every mountain of impossibility fashioned against your destiny, I decree by the power of the Holy Spirit, let such mountains give way and crumble after the order of the wall of Jericho in Jesus name Amen.
Wherever the wicked has said there is no way concerning your life, I decree by power of the name of the Lord call JAH, let your way be open by fire in Jesus name Amen.
