Anthony Joshua has been involved in a car crash which has seen two people die in Makun, Ogun State, according to reports.
The incident reportedly occurred along a busy highway of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway at around 11am on Monday. Joshua, who recently beat Jake Paul on his return to the ring, was in a Lexus jeep and collided with a stationary truck. The circumstances around the incident are still being investigated.
Joshua has been pulled from the scene and he only sustained minor injuries, but it is understood that two people died on the spot.
The British boxer was seated behind the driver, with another person beside him. All in all there were four people in the Lexus. His security detail was in the vehicle behind them before the crash.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene as crowds formed around the scene of the fatal accident.
Joshua was taken to hospital for treatment according to Lanre Ogunlowo, Ogun State Police commissioner.
