Nigeria has lost a former Super Eagles striker, Michael Eneramo who died at the age of 40 after collapsing on the pitch while playing football in Kaduna where he plays after retiring from Turkish league in 2018.
According to report on Friday, frantic efforts were made to save the life of Eneramo before he was taken to the hospital, but he later gave up the ghost.
“This is devastating. I am short of words at this moment.
“I can only pray that God will grant him eternal rest and also grant his loved ones and the Nigeria football family the fortitude to bear the loss”, the Nigerian Football Federation General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi said.
