365Daily – A suit seeking the removal of Abdullahi Ganduje as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown out by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a judgment delivered on Monday, September 23, 2024, ruled that the matter in the suit filed by a group known as the APC North Central Group, is an internal affair of the political party.

He also added that the plaintiff is not a juristic person, having not been registered in law and, therefore, has no legal power or capacity to file the suit.

Furthermore, Justice Ekwo held that the plaintiff failed to explore the internal mechanism for peaceful resolution of issues before approaching the court, which cannot dabble into such cases.

The plaintiff had filed the suit, marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/599/2024 to seeking among others, an order voiding Ganduje’s appointment by the Chairman of the APC, claiming that the appointment violated the party’s Constitution.
It contended that since the party’s Chairmanship position was zoned to the North Central, a replacement for the immediate past Chairman of the APC ought to also have been appointed from the North Central.
