365Daily – Celebrity crossdresser, Idris Okuneye a.k.a Bobrisky, has been handed a six month jail term for abuse of the naira.

This is just as the convict admitted to the court that he is a man before pronouncing of the sentence.

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday, April 12, 2024, gave the sentence, without an option of fine.

Bobrisky had pleaded guilty to a four-count charge of tampering with N490,000 by spraying, brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In his remarks, the presiding judge, Justice Abimbola Awogboro, held that the judgement will serve as a deterrent to others who are fond of abusing and mutilating the Nigerian currency.

However, he clarified that the jail term commences on March 24, 2024, the day of Bobrisky’s arrest.
