365Daily – The Senate will today finalise the consideration of the 2024 budget proposal sent by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pass it.
This was revealed by the Clerk to the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, in a statement issued on Saturday.
The Senate will meet in plenary by 1pm, he added.
Recall that the Senate had on Wednesday, December 21, 2023, adjourned plenary till Friday, December 29, 2023, to consider and pass the 2024 budget.
However, it later rescheduled the sitting for today. This move is aimed at ensuring that the budget is passed within the 2023 time frame.
