365Daily – Members of Automobile Technicians and Spare Parts Association doing to their business at Kugbo Mechanic Village in Abuja on Monday inaugurated their new chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Odugwu, popularly called 2-Star General Civilian.
Sensitizing some of the officials immediately after the inauguration, a business and investment consultant who is also the chairman of Global Alliance Investment Team Limited, Mr. Henry C. Nwakanma urged the new leadership to initiate programmes that would help their members to prosper in their businesses.
He encouraged savings culture amongst them so that they would invest in other sectors that could yield them more income.
According to him, “Business is different from investment. Business is whatever you do to make a living, while investment is what you put your money into to make additional income aside the one you get from your business. And you can only invest when you have savings culture.
“On the other hand, cash is not wealth; wealth is credible, credible relationship, character. When you are credible in your business it will help you to have relationship with credible people, and your character is what will makes you save money for investment”.
Speaking to 365Daily at the event, the new chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Odugwu, said they need government’s presence in their area in terms of infrastructure as the place has no good road, electricity, water supply to aide their trade.
He also called for partnership with any commercial bank that would be interest to open a branch in their area.
According to him, Kugbo Spare Parts and Automobile village has become a major solution centre to vehicle owners who come there to meet with their everyday needs.
He called on traders and automobile technicians to cooperate with him to enable him serve them better, and promised to do everything possible to make Kugbo Spare Parts and Automobile village one of the best markets in the Federal Capital Territory.
Also inaugurated were Engineer Jacob Okpoko (vice chairman), Chamberlain Alali (secretary), Ogbodo Matthew (assistant secretary), Eze Nwanneka (financial secretary), Anene Onyeka (treasurer), Ndubuisi Matthias (chief provost), Emeka Ali (chief welfare officer), Kalu Friday (assistant welfare officer), Nwaoye Chinedu (assistant provost), and Eze Ifeanyi (public relations officer).
