The timeliness of eight weeks for the technical committees is running out and Labour cannot continue to relax and listen to grammar from government, while Nigerians suffer in hardship

Following removal of fuel subsidy, the Trade Union Congress, TUC, has said it will not continue to keep quiet while Nigerians languish in penury.
The TUC made this known in a press conference held in Abuja on Monday calling on Nigerians to join them in a planned protest to the National Assembly to demand that the federal government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu does the needful.
According to the TUC president, Festus Osifo, the government’s delay in constituting and inaugurating the various petrol subsidy removal technical committees is a source of serious concern to the citizens.
He added that “The timeliness of eight weeks for the technical committees is running out and Labour cannot continue to relax and listen to grammar from government, while Nigerians suffer in hardship”.
In a related development, the TUC equally called on Nigerians to reject the planned increase of electricity tariff to avoid further pains on consumers.
