More Witnesses Testify On INEC’s Failure To Upload Presidential Results

365 Daily – More witnesses on Friday informed the Presidential Election Petitions Court sitting in Abuja that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) failed to transmit presidential results to the IREV from the polling units.The witnesses, who are ad-hoc presiding officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) testified as subpoenaed witnesses for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

In her testimony, Grace Ajagbona, a former member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who resides at Egbe, Yagba West LGA, Kogi State, told the court that the Senate and House of Representatives elections were successfully uploaded at her polling unit, but that of the presidential poll failed.

Similarly, Abidemi Joseph and Edosa Obosa, who served in Niger and Edo States respectively, stated that the election results could not be transmitted by the BVAS but manually submitted the original result sheets signed by party agents to the ward collation centres.
