The Central Bank of Nigeria has bowed to pressure and amended the controversial December 6, 2022 circular in which it ordered that maximum weekly withdrawal should be N100,000 for individuals and N500,000 for corporate bodies.
In another circular dated December 21, 2022, titled RE: NAIRA REDESIGN POLICY – REVISED CASH WITHDRAWAL LIMIT, the apex bank said the maximum weekly limit for cash withdrawal across all channels by individuals and corporate organizations shall be N500,000 and N5,000,000 respectively.

Recall that the CBN governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele has been in the eye of the storm since he introduced the policy.
