Pandemonium at Alaba Int’l Market as traders clash with Lagos ‘Area Boys’

The pandemonium broke out in the morning when the traders resisted some ‘Area Boys’ who came to extort money from them

365Daily – Scores of people sustained various degrees of injury on Wednesday, October 19, after a disagreement ensued between traders and some young men popularly known as area boys at Alaba International Market in Lagos.

According to the report, the pandemonium broke in the morning when the traders resisted some Area Boys (touts) who had attempted to extort money from them.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the police are working to restore order in the area.
