365Daily – A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Nasiru Babale Ila, has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
He replaces Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub, who was recently appointed as the Minister of State for Works and Housing.
Ila, a member of the 7th and 8th Assembly, represented Taruni Federal Constituency of Kano State.
He served in several Standing Committees of the House which included Privatisation, Women Affairs, FERMA, Customs, Industry and National Planning among others.
Upon reelection for a second term in 2015, he was appointed Chairman, House Committee on House Services in addition to serving in other Committees including Defence, Police Affairs, FERMA, ICT and Customs.
