Ekiti Governorship election: APC constitutes 61-member campaign council

365Daily – Ahead of the June 18, 2022 Ekiti governorship election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a 61-member Governorship Campaign Council to be chaired by the Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Bagudu.

Biodun Oyebanji is the party’s flag bearer for the election.

This was announced by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman, in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.

He said the membership of the committee includes the Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo, Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Gov. Simon Lalong of Pleatue and Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo.

He further said that Cross River Governor, Ben Ayade, Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and the Minister of Trade and Investment, Adebayo Adeniyi, are also members of the council.

According to him, the National Chairman of the APC, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, will on Monday, May 23, inaugurate the council at the party’s national secretariat.
