365Daily – The House of Representatives has said it will hold an emergency session on Monday, May 9, 2022, to attend to critical matters of national importance.
Members of the Green Chamber last Tuesday adjourned till May 24, 2022 following from an emergency sitting where they granted passage to four executive Bills.
The break was to allow them participate in political parties’ activities leading to primaries at the end of the month.
Announcing the development, the Clerk to the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, in a circular, urged all members of the House, legislative staff, the Media, as well as the general public to participate in the emergency plenary with a view to discussing “critical issues of national importance.”
It stated: “This is to inform all Hon Members, staff, media and the general public that the House hereby recalls all Hon. Members for an emergency plenary session against Monday, 9th May, 2022 at 2:00pm.
“It is particularly intended to discuss critical issues of national importance. The House regrets any inconvenience this short notice would have caused.”
