Peaceful elections in 2023: Gov Emmanuel calls for prayers

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel has urged Christians to intensify prayers for a smooth and peaceful elections in the state and country next year.

Governor Emmanuel made the call on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in his goodwill message at the 4th Akwa Ibom state territorial convention of the Apostolic Church held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.

The Governor who was represented by Pastor Umo Eno, a seasoned entrepreneur and frontline governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), commended The Apostolic Church for prayerfully supporting his administration, saying that the current season calls for more prayers.

He recalled that he started his administration with a thanksgiving at the Apostolic Church, adding that the church has been a strong partner in the current administration.

While welcoming the National President, Pastor (Dr) S. E. Igwe to the State, he prayed for God’s blessings and protection upon him.

In his sermon, Pastor (Dr) Igwe who preached on the theme, “God Decides” admonished Christians to always abide by God’s decision, adding that God reigns supreme in the affairs of men.
