US trains NAF in military operations, civilian protection

 

The United States Defence Institute of International Legal Studies has organised training sessions for the Nigerian Air Force commanders in military operations.

According to a statement on Wednesday, the training was designed to equip military commanders with operational decision making and civilian protection.

The statement read, “From September 13 through September 17, the U.S. Defence Institute of International Legal Studies travelled to Nigeria to conduct a senior leaders’ seminar.

“This training course was designed to introduce Nigerian Air Force commanders to advanced topics in operational decision making, including a focus on improving civilian harm mitigation efforts in future military operations.”

The training was included as part of the package for the operations of the Super Tucano jets that were sold to Nigeria by the U.S.
