365Daily – Senator Stella Oduah, who represents Anambra North Senatorial District in the Senate, has written an emotional letter in remembrance of her late son, she fondly refered to as Buwa.

Buwa died some time ago after a brief illness.

Recounting fond memories of of her son she described as kind, selfless and generous, the Senator wrote on her Facebook page:

“My dear precious baby Buwa,

“Believe me when I say that I’ve done everything humanly possible to ease the pain, but Lord knows it still hurts!

“I mean, how on earth am I supposed to pretend that all is well and forget all the amazing memories we shared and made together?

“How does a mother ever fully mourn or get past the death of a child?

“Moreso one that was so kind, humane, selfless and giving like you?

“Son how can I forget how you effortlessly worked round the clock to better the lives of strangers and friends alike?

“I recall coming home one day to see a cat in my kitchen!

“I hate cats! No I’m afraid of cats, but this stray cat you brought home, was busy drinking my milk!

“I also recall meeting a dreadlocked boy telling my cook that he does not like beans and instructing him to make rice instead!

“I ran out in fear and anger but only you, Buwa could have done that for I saw you laugh and calmly say to me, “mummy this cat is pretty is she. But abandoned.

“And mummy, Obi (the dreadlocked kid issuing orders in my kitchen) needs recommendation letter. He wants to learn how to repair cars. He is an orphan. Can you imagine they think he is crazy?”

“Before I could say anything, you asked him to feel at home, eat and come the next day for his letter and fees.

“Three years later a young man came to my office, introduced himself as Obi Chukwuma and told me he had completed his training and was working with the Swedish embassy!

“Smiling, he said “Mummy but for Buwa, I wouldn’t be where I am today!

“And then he said “Mummy we are many, cats, girls and men. Buwa transformed our lives. We believed in ourselves because he believed in us.”

“Son, you spent your life putting salt on people’s lives, demanding nothing in return whilst urging them to do same for others!

“My baby, my best friend, my sweetheart!

“Every day I miss you more even as the pain stays unimaginable and indescribable.

“I really am not sure why you left but my faith tells me God is in control and knows why. I do know it is a raging storm that only He knows how to calm.

“But I still cant stop crying and can’t stop seeking God’s face because I have faith.

“Like you, I am going to continue putting out salt to people because I know you’ll be smiling happily.

“Your MAXLIFE FOUNDATION is waxing stronger by the day, many more lives are being positively impacted just as you envisioned and I just want to thank you for everything!

“My beautiful baby, keep resting in the bosom of our Lord, mummy loves you but our maker loves you more.

Mummy.”
