Troops rescue 15 kidnapped commuters in Kaduna

365Daily – Troops of Operation Safe Haven have rescued 15 commuters in Jagindi, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the State Government has disclosed.

Kaduna State Commissioner for  Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, made this known in a statement issued on Monday in Kaduna.

He said the 15 commuters had been kidnapped from two vehicles in the area while on transit and the troops, upon receipt of a distress call, mobiliised swiftly to the location and executed their rescue.

The Commissioner added that the Acting Governor, Hadiza Balarabe, commended the troops for their action and expressed satisfaction for their swift response which resulted in the rescue of the commuters.

He further stated that the troops are sustaining search and rescue operations in the area.
