365Daily – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has sealed a property belonging to the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, in Kano State.

This followed a petition by one Barrister Mustapha Danjuma, who alleged that Kwankwaso received a contribution of N70 million each from the 44 local government councils in the state (N3.08 billion) for his 2015 presidential election bid.

Kwankwaso represented Kano Central Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015 after he completed his 2-term tenure as Governor of the state.

He was succeeded by his deputy, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
