Bandits kidnap emir of Kajuru, 13 family members

Armed bandits on Sunday morning abducted the emir of Kajuru, Alhassan Adamu, at his residence in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

It was gathered that the bandits also whisked away 12 other family members of the emir including women and children.

The grandson of the emir and traditional title holder of Dan Kajuru, Saidu Musa, confirmed the abduction to the newsmen, saying the incident occurred at 12:30 am.

The Kaduna Stàte Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige said the incident happened in the early hours of the day.

Jalige said the second class traditional ruler and the other victims were kidnapped at his residence.

The spokesperson, who did not give details of how the incident happened, said policemen had been mobilised to trail the hoodlums with a view to rescuing the victims.

“We have deployed our men to rescue them,” he added.
